One of the major factors for employee engagement is real-time peer feedback and recognition, not so much the traditional yearly performance review by management. TapMyBack enables team members to keep improving their productivity and work performance by repeating actions that had a positive impact on the team. The team leader defines what actions (Taps) are available for recognition. This is a trigger for behavioral change.
Besides the recognition aspect our app also have a peer evaluation feature where all co-workers can evaluate each others for the recent performance at work. We think the traditional annual performance evaluation is not enough and that all employees should benefit from a continuous evaluation and review, both from the team leader as well as from their peers.
Our current focus is on the analytical features, where we intend to provide individuals with insights about how they are impacting the team and what they need to improve. It will also provide team leaders with opportunities for coaching or inputs for performance review.
